Welding Expertise

Nuclear-grade qualified procedures and welders across TIG, MIG, SMAW and SAW.

Overview

Every joint is a safety statement. RFSS welds under qualified procedures with qualified welders, and each weld is recorded against the welder and procedure that produced it.

Nuclear-grade capability sits alongside ASME and EN procedures, so the same shop can serve nuclear, power and process projects.

Manufacturing process

  1. Procedure selection

Approved WPS/PQR matched to material, thickness and code.

  2. Welder allocation

Qualified welder assigned; welder identification recorded.

  3. Welding & control

Welding carried out and monitored against the procedure.

  4. Examination

NDT and testing per project specification, reported against the joint.

Applications

  • Critical-service spool welding
  • Heavy-wall and large-diameter joints
  • Alloy, duplex, titanium and nickel alloy welding

Quality controls

  • Welder identification recorded per joint
  • WPS/PQR referenced in the traceability record
  • NDT report linked to the weld
