Pipe Spools / Spooling Solutions

Shop-fabricated, fully traceable pipe spools for critical service, delivered ready for site installation.

Overview

Pipe spooling is the core of what RFSS does: pre-fabricated, shop-welded assemblies delivered ready for site installation. Fabricating under controlled shop conditions gives better weld quality, tighter dimensional control and full access for inspection, while reducing site labour, schedule risk and rework.

Welding is qualified to nuclear and international codes, and every spool carries traceability from material heat number through to the dispatch document.

Manufacturing process

  1. Material receipt

Incoming inspection, with the material heat number recorded against each spool.

  2. Cutting & fit-up

Cutting, bevelling and fit-up to the approved isometric and fabrication drawing.

  3. Welding

Qualified welders working to approved WPS/PQR; welder identification is recorded per joint.

  4. Examination & testing

Radiography, ultrasonic and hydro testing as the project specification requires.

  5. Finishing

Surface treatment, shot blasting and painting; clean-room handling where specified.

  6. Packing & dispatch

Seaworthy packaging and a documentation package aligned to the client's specification.
